I've given Bitter some time to soak in...and I've come to this conclusion... Bitter is definitely my favorite MeShell album...I adore the first two, and yes, even with forewarning, i was still a bit unprepared for the 'mellow-ness' of the almost Bass-less Bitter...but after listening to it more and more, there is no question...it's the best. It just gets better every time i play it. Adam sets the tone...A Fool of Me...hurts the heart. Faithful...soars. Satisfy...does just that. The whole thing is amazing. If i HAVE to pick a least favorite track(do i HAVE to?) then it would be the one that everyone else seems to like the most..."Wasted Time". I like it, but out of all of them that's the one that i like not as much as the others. Maybe it's because i know that the sublime "Grace" is coming next, so i can't wait until "Wasted Time" gets finished so i can hear that simply evocotive bass line stream in...i don't know. I just find it interesting that "Wasted Time" seems to be most folks #1 pick. I guess that's why there is chocolate and vanilla right. My favorite?...can't choose one...it's between Adam, A Fool of Me, Faithful (i am REALLY feeling A Fool of Me and Faithful) and Grace, ummm...but...but...but wait... then there's Sincerity, Satisfy, and Loyalty...and ...ahh well Bitter is just amazing.
