Okay, Those of you who check out the pitiful excuse for Me'Shell OFFICIAL web site, may have seen my alias " Black Pearl" I have read all of the past digests and wanted to introduce myself. I an a Virgo, my birthday is September 12, 1975. I personally thought Me'Shell originally was just a well-appreciated but low-profiled artist. Which, on the contrary fueled my obsession. Unlike some of you (if not all) you were able to Me’Shell on more than one occasion , yet I have not. I am seriously deprived, I would love to find out how to retrieve any LIVE taper any of you can convert and send. ANYTHING. Guys, this may sound pathetic but I have yet to see any of her FULL-LENGTH videos (just clips on the web). Sad I know……Dallas is not on top of it as you would think… Ironically, I ran across a USED maxi-single of Dred-loc today with about 3 other re-mixes on it. I’ll let you guys know what it sounds like and maybe even send it to you ASAP. My ultimate goal by interacting with you all is to become a Me’Shell junkie, wouldn’t it be great if we all planned to attend about 3 concerts annually together and planned a trip to meet as a whole in different locations? Anyway, just wishful thinking. I too can not wait until May for her new release and I PRAY they do some promo such as posters/tee-shirts and plenty of TV-spots. I love you all for the support of her music and message…;; The message I originally sent on the Maverick site is as follows: Bashir, The first time I saw you I was dining during the Grand Opening of BET"S Sound Stage and was mesmerized by the performance of " Diggin You Like a Soul Record" I bought both albums that next day <'97>. I have a few of the soundtracks and in search of live performances on CD. You are quite a hypnotic artist, and to think while I was in D.C, I was clueless of your presence with the bands you performed with. Again, while I was residing in San Francisco and did not know that you performed quite a bit in LA So close....... I can not wait for your next album as well as a live performance where ever in Texas. I heard you were here once at the Caravan of Dreams, I missed you once more. If I could get dates of some of your locations, I am sure I would try my best to make them if Dallas was not in the near future, I must admit, when I thought you were a secret and not so "known" I felt powerful, selfish I know. I think I am a bit envious that so many enjoy you, the way I do........My lover loves your music but not the way I rave about you. I am afraid I may be alone when I see you perform. Nonetheless, I love the persona of you, and wish you all the happiness you can contain in this lifetime Black Pearl ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Feb 1999 16:57:21 PST From: "Derek S.
