For those who wanna know (Pop) or already know or basically aren't gonna be bother because you will know, Bashir's (Me'Shell) cut starts during the shower scene between Stella and her boyfriend Winston and is carried over to the bedroom. It was extremely effective :))))) You have to wait a little bit to hear it but its worth the wait!!!! PBP, Rhonda ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Aug 1998 22:05:34 +0200 From: Pontus Astrom Subject: Bashir / go-go Taken from the Maversucksite: - ------------- I just met a friend of my boyfriend who did indeed play in a go-go band w/ Bashir back in the day . The band was called Prophecy. He said Bashir kept trying to push Curtis Mayfield tunes on them, but they couldn't get the wah-wah guitar down. LOL. Apparently she sang w/ the band as well as playing bass, but at the time she wasn't coordinated enough to do both at the same time, so when she sang she played her bass parts on keyboard. So that go-go groove you hear is not imaginary... - --Michael - -------------- Could you please tell what group and if there are any albums? Like her tracks on the Higher Lerning soundtrack, Red, White and Cool album.. and others. She's even on on album with Madonna, and of course, on Chaka Kahn's Epiphany. Yes.. I do my best to find her one other albums. .. still don't have any of the Red/White albums.. but it's coming. I have a page dedicated to MNO.. but it's old (of course) and hope that I can get information from folx here to add to my ... homage. Though I luv me some Janet, their style just seems so different to me from Bashir (including LMHY), that I was wondering if maybe she wrote the song herself. If she did, then maybe it was an outtake recorded some time ago and pitched for the movie when it came up.
