The show was absolutely incredible at the El Rey. Her band, which I think was the same as last band tour (am I right?), was fantastic. She has the band that can take her places, I think. They certainly too me places. I would love to hear some feedback from other shows as to set lists, etc. I am wondering if she is changing the set a little bit from city to city. Wish I had known earlier. I might have gone to both The Coach House and The El Rey, not that I wouldn't have loved to see this show at least twice. I didn't keep a list, but I can tell you some distinguishing moments to the list. She started out with Glass Half Empty and some what later played Genius or Fool, commemting on foot ware as an intro. As expected much of the show was from Steady Pull, lifting the songs to their epic status. Fantastic. Though I had heard many of these songs last year solo at Largo, the band really established them as Jonatha classics. Can't seem to get the cd out of my player. Throughout the night she played from Steady Pull -- Red Dress (mammoth!), How Deep is your Love, Steady Pull, Digging, Your House, Linger to close the set, (did she play Walking, must have) Out of your Mind for encore (was there another encore?) (someone please clarify the list if you can) Also a monster Crumbs, nice little So Much Mine (thanks for digging deep), burning No Better, beautiful Is this All, and I am pretty sure that there was a gorgeous Because I Told You So (or was that in the car afterwards?) I am sure I am missing something but that gives you an idea. I say this every time and thank gods and goddesses that it is still true but, this is a performer riding the crest of her performing and creative wave. Sure wish I could've been at the Fillmore. Would love to hear a report. - ---------------------------------------------------------- HELP! owner-full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org Send mail to full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org ------------------------------ End of full-fledged-strangers-digest V4 #47 ******************************************* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This has been a posting from full-fledged-strangers-digest For help send e-mail to owner-full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
