Borders.com customer service said that it was a mistake that it was ever on its web site (which has since been corrected), and that the special edition is only carried in Borders brick stores. They told me I could take it to one of them to exchange it and that borders.com would refund my shipping charge. - -Fred - ---------------------------------------------------------- HELP! owner-full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org Send mail to full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Feb 2001 21:05:14 -0800 From: Jim DeFord Subject: Re: Borders Update Now that is interesting. My gal (Kim) told me this afternoon that I would indeed be getting the Border's special edition (SE) and that it would be available on the website tomorrow. At the time she called me there were SE's in the warehouse, but they would be getting a ***VERY*** limited number on Friday and the website would be updated when the SE CD's are available. The website does now show the 12-song version for ordering. She also said that she could snail-mail me a special shipping label for returning the CD, or that I could send it back the cheapest way possible (do they have 15th-class postage?) and that they would refund the price of the CD and twice the original shipping costs (that they charged me). She said that she would personally purchase the SE CD for me tomorrow and ship it ASAP. Time will tell.... Has anyone else had to ever put this much effort into purchasing a CD? Sheesh! Heh...Would be easier to just download it from Napster! :-/ Yeah, I know...BAD joke. ;-) - -Jim At 08:14 AM 2/22/2001, FredNow@aol.com wrote: >In spite of my Borders' invoice listing "Steady Pull-Special edition," and >having seen the 15-track version on their web site when I ordered it, the >regular 12-track version arrived in the mail today. > >Borders.com customer service said that it was a mistake that it was ever on >its web site (which has since been corrected), and that the special edition >is only carried in Borders brick stores.
