Having been a fan of Jonatha's since only somewhere around early '98, I was baffled when I came across the following. In a Columbia House insert I got with my mailing, there was an advertisment for a "make your own CD" thing. As I was scanning the titles available, I was shocked to see "Jonatha Brooke and Co.-Dog Dreams". Now I knew that this list used to be called Dog Dreams, but I didn't think she actually had a song by this title, as I had never heard it mentioned. I assume you all have already heard it, and have the CD (BIG TIMES IN A SMALL TOWN/THE VINEYARD TAPES), so I was wondering what you all had to say about it. Is it a good song? Good album? What's up with this? I basically know nothing about this song, so enlighten me =) No exciting Jonatha activity it seems. No touring....no nothing.....hopefully something soon! Anyone know any info on a new album anytime soon? Any info would be appreciated! The disc is called "Grace In Gravity" and was released in 1992 by Elektra. That tune was sort of their first "hit" back in the pub days. Jonatha's "Dog Dreams" is sort of what "Closer To Fine" is for The Indigo Girls. It's been a while since I've heard it mentioned but if I remember correctly, the BIG TIMES IN A SMALL TOWN/THE VINEYARD TAPES was an independant release of a number of local artists. Take care, Kevin. ps: You'll also notice that J copyrighted her music under "Dog Dream Music." - ---------- > From: Daniel Summers > To: full-fledged-strangers@smoe.org > Subject: Re: full-fledged-strangers-digest V2 #9 > Date: Monday, January 03, 2000 7:31 PM > > Hey all; > Just writing in with a question.
