If it's true that she wants to spend more time at home with her husband and tour less, it would be the ideal situation for her. As for Kate, I can see her either becoming an in-demand drummer for hire or being involved with a really rockin' band on a full-time basis. I'm not so sure about Gabby, though, as she's historically been the least involved with outside projects. Any clues as to what she may choose to do musically? Hmmmm........Maybe she can become the first woman member of the Flaming Lips. I know she loves that band almost as much as I do. Well, talk to you all soon. - --- SuprFrk4@aol.com wrote: > its such an odd feeling. i found out yesterday > morning checking my email > while i was being held hostage at my grandma's house > by my parents...all i > listened to was lj...realizing that there is nobody > like them and never will > be...that there won't be another tour, another > album... > echoing what miles and chuck said...lj introduced me > to entirely new levels > of music, jazz, joni mitchell, laura nyro, beastie > boys, cibo matto, emmylou > harris, etc > i started playing guitar because i wanted to be like > alanis morissette (go > ahead and laugh, i was naive then) and i started > playing bass because of jill > (and ended up getting the same model bass as her red > fernandes, but in blue) > i guess what i'm most disappointed about is that > there won't be another > tour...i missed them for their electric honey tour > because my parents forced > me to go on vacation when they came..i'll never get > to see them again, still > i saw them twice in the feverifo days, and i'm > grateful for all that lj has > brought to me. > > thinking about all these endings, has anyone ever > noticed how the last song > on each lj cd seems to usher in the next album: > bam-bam & satellite were the > last tracks on manny, both more instrument and band > oriented..na was less > samples and more live instrumentation..lp retreat > was more dreamy > groove-oriented jammy thing..and then came fever, > groove-oriented, extended > songs..faith and stardust were guitar based...and > then electric honey..guitar > based... > > and speaking of the future..some good news: > (the end of an article on sonicnet) > > No information was available on future projects from > Cunniff, Schellenbach > and Glaser. > > The final recordings by Luscious Jackson will be > released on the upcoming > soundtrack to the animated film "Titan A.E." and the > companion album to the > WB television drama "Felicity," according to the > band's publicists. You could look forward to their solo musical ventures (or collaborations), and instead of only one record to look forward to, now you'll have three. And don't forget that Dusty Trails LP coming out in May... Just a thought. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of find-your-mind-digest V3 #36 ***********************************
