I don't know the scoop, but that's the usual story. I've never known a band that's cancelled or postponed as many shows as LJ. On this tour alone, they postponed the original NYC show and cancelled the Rhode Island, Northampton, and San Jose shows. And they cancelled a show in New Haven a few years back - -- which was supposed to be my first time seeing them. If anyone can explain this phenomenon, I'm all ears. - -Mike ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Oct 1999 02:39:30 EST From: Small7fry@aol.com Subject: find-your-mind sf show Any one know what Gabby never got around to anouncing at the show in sf on friday? I wanted to see them at Maritime Hall in San Francisco but I didn't have anyone to go with. Subject: find-your-mind tia sprocket tia used to be in a band called sexpod who are a tad bit harder than lj to say the least. at the current time tia has joined the west coast band lucid nation, again completely different sound from lj but totally kick ass. so i guess you can find her on older sexpod albums and the upcoming lucid nation one. and agreed she's an awesome musician and great addition to lj. sara but watching tia play during surprise was a trip...she was >possesed!!!! she came right out to the corner where we were standing - >and stood within inches of loads of peoples hands reaching for her. very >cool and intense! anyone know what she did before LJ and i'm certain, if i drive into those tress, it'd make less of a mess than you've made of me. --rainer maria http://luscious.cjb.net http://seepies.cjb.net ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Oct 1999 21:52:14 EST From: Fumblchick@aol.com Subject: find-your-mind OT: the breeders ok ok i know OT off the topic stuff annoys alot of people but i have a question. i would like to purchase a Breeders cd however i dunno which one i should buy...any suggestions? thanks, stephanie ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 31 Oct 1999 21:57:47 EST From: ShirlMansn@aol.com Subject: find-your-mind question how do i un-sub? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 01 Nov 1999 03:02:31 GMT From: "Kate Y" Subject: Re: find-your-mind the DJ thingy Cool! What bar is it and where are you from? I finally heard LJ for the first time at a bar a couple weeks ago. They played Naked Eye and it was the last song of the night. I was so happily surprised. It was too bad the bar was about to close. I wish the bars around here played LJ regularly but I'm sure most of the DJ's around here don't even know who LJ is let alone have their CD's. I'm definitely in a minority when it comes to LJ around here...it sucks. Hopefully they'll play here (Rochester, NY) some day and then people will know who they are. :) Have a great week everyone and hope you had a decent Halloween! ~Kate~ >From: "marieeve bonnet" >Reply-To: find-your-mind@smoe.org >To: find-your-mind@smoe.org >Subject: find-your-mind the DJ thingy >Date: Sat, 30 Oct 1999 12:19:11 EDT > >Well since no one has answered Ed's query about the dance tunes, I'll give >it a go, for what it's worth. > >LJ-wise, my prefered dance tunes are "Let Yourself Get Down" and "One >Thing".
