Luscious Jackson was scheduled to play at 4:20 so we thought we all had plenty of time to kill so we started walking around and heading back to our seats a little after 4, and they had already started! and they started with Naked Eye, one of my favorites and I only got to see the end of it :( but the rest of their performnace was kick ass *Amy* ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Jul 1999 19:37:17 -0700 From: Miss Propaganda Subject: Lilith Fair in San Diego Saw the gals at Lilith in SD on friday....must say, I was excited to see them, but the sound was really sucky and they didn't get to play for very long. They played new stuff and it was still boring. Sarah sang backup for Ladyfingers and her mic was so low that all one could here was Jill. They played Surprise though and it sounded AWESOME. (I think perhaps because it was among the other boring stuff). I did in fact record the set, although the first song is cut off because I was running to see LJ from just seeing the Murmurs at the Village stage (they ROCKED, btw). It's not the greatest, cuz the venue's sound was poo, and I was far away from anything which resembled a speaker, but if anyone is interested in the LJ set please e-mail me within the next week (you send me a blank tape or minidisc (and some money for shipping) and I will record on it and send it back to you OR we can trade). I also have the Murmurs (sound is EXCELLENT) recorded and Beth Orton, but I only will trade for those. What else...um, NO CD-R!!! it's poo, I say... All right, that's it...
