New to the list but I have to say that LJ are my favorite band. Thanxz to webtv I now can converse with my people. Been hearing how well the new cd is doing. Been reading some magazines and LJ"s "Lady" is the biggest added song to radio!!!!! I also saw "Lady" on MTV and VH1!!!!!!(alot) Virgin and Tower list EH as one of their biggest selling cd's!! LJ is #1 at my nearest Virgin, Tower and HMV-how cool is that???? Saw LJ on 120 minutes and the girls were real pretty. (kate's hair is cool-she could be my alienlover anytime) "Lady" is clearly my fave today. Sorry this is late but I just recently got back from NYC. I was stuck for 5 days extra cause my car broke down twice....why does this always happen when I drive long distances to see LJ??!! (nods to Sara...she got to break down with me this time) haha. Anyway...both shows were awesome and it totally rocked to be front row for both of them. My fave songs live are the classics like "Bam Bam, Citysong, Here, Surprise"...stuff they do in most shows. I also love "Rock Freak" live...so much better than the LP version I think. Out of the more recent stuff my faves are "Alien Lover, Fantastic Fabulous, Nervous Breakthrough and Summer Daze." I like when Jill does the "I like it" parts on that song. haha! I just wish they would do "Find Your Mind" live...but I guess they don't cause it's hard to pull off live. I think that would rock though cause it's one of the best songs of NI. MY PICKS: >Manny/Ingredients >>>>> NATURAL INGREDIENTS >FIFO/E. Honey >>>>> both are great but I like the energy on EH even though >I really appreciate the mellowness of FIFO...but I prefer to be in the >hyper/dance mode rather than the chilling out mode. :) >Vivian / Singh>>>> Singh I guess cause I've seen him live more times and >talked/hung out with him. I don't feel a connection with Viv cause I only >saw her once and never talked to her or anything. >samples & loops / no samples & loops >>> SAMPLES AND LOOPS..definitely >can't be LJ without a little of that. >guest musicians / no guest musicians >>> OK with me if kept at a minimum >like it is now. >LJ producing themselves / LJ with outside producers >>> either is okay with >me. If LJ feels they need outside producers than it doesn't matter...as >long as the song is the best it can possibly be. >Gabby-written tunes / Jill-written tunes >>>> Jill definitely...her songs >"speak to me" more than Gabby's....Summer Daze is the first Gabby song that >I actually really like. >Jill & Gabby collaborate / Jill & Gabby write apart >>>collaborate >Anne Hairston / Tia Sprocket >>>Tia definitely...she rocks!!!!! >More KoStars / No More KoStars >>>> More would be good and another tour so >I could at least see them one time live. OK....that's it for now. Kate :) _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. And Kate is featured in an article called "The Lesbian at Lilith" in The Advocate, which has a pretty good interview, which she ends by saying that she wants to trade places for a day with a WNBA player who would play in LJ while Kate plays basketball. I'm looking forward to seeing them Saturday at Lilith in LA, and have to get my NYC Irving Plaza tix...I went to the Virgin Megastore instore and they rocked!
