I think that channel has been dead for last two years. I remember the good ole days when a big crowd of 5 people gathered there... It still exists if any of you want a peek at it, but it's emptier than a scottish pay toilet. I've been reading the archives of this list for some time now and finally decided to join.. well rejoin actually.. was on this list at the start but I changed emails and didnt get round to re-subscribing. Ah well! I guess I'll start off with introducing myself. My name's Jan, from Melbourne Australia. I first heard LJ a few years ago on a show here called Rage - it was 'City Song' which I must admit I didnt like at first. They only played it a couple of times which didnt really give me a chance to get into em. Then I heard 'Here' which I dug; they came over for the Big Day Out in 95 and didnt hear anything else til 'Naked Eye' and got into them then. Thats my boring 'how I got into LJ' story outta the way. I'm bummed out I dont have E.H yet :( Hopefully will get it next week . I do have some mp3s to tide me over tho thankfully! Hmm what else to say.. oh, has anyone heard any Dusty Trails material? I'm kinda curious to what it sounds like.. are they releasing anything soon? Well I think I'll leave it at that, I have a habit of rambling on a little! Oh, just curious, what other bands do y'all like? Thats all for now! Take care, Jan ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Jul 1999 15:01:15 +1000 From: suspiria@bbs.gu.com.au Subject: Re: LJ channel on irc? undernet? >> there was an lj channel on irc on dalnet...marie made it once upon a >> time...i'm not sure its been used in over a year, but i could be >> wrong...what do i know? > >I think that channel has been dead for last two years. Tis only a suggestion..
