The Lady Fingers single seems to be in ample supplies though. There, you can also buy the mysteriously titled "In Search of Nanny"... aaaaah professionalism. Those of you who hold a particular cult for Vivian might be interested to know the line-up of her Dusty Trails band/project: Vivian Trimble (how obvious), Josephine Wiggs, Kate Schellenbach and Gretchen Phillips. There's slightly more info about it on the Kostars site at: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Studios/9176 ttfn, MB ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 May 1999 10:56:59 EDT From: ArtaudJr@aol.com Subject: Mystery Song... Hey all. I work at the local corporate coffee shop around here(Starbucks, that is), and we received a new in-store tape with a LJ song on it, called "I've got a Crush on You." Problem is, since the tapes are four-track, super-long things, I can't play it on my own time to listen to it, and it gets too loud/busy to wait for it to come on. Has anyone heard this song before? Will it be on Electric Honey, or has it already been released? Later all. - --Steve (quite hungover) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 May 1999 14:36:13 -0700 From: Miss Propaganda Subject: Re: Mystery Song... Steve (and whoever else cares)- "I've Got I Crush On You" is on the Red Hot + Rhapsody compilation which came out a while back. It's a collection of Gershwin songs done by contemporary musicians...my faves are Morcheeba doing "Summertime," Smoke City doing "They Can't Take That Away From Me," and Sinead O'Connor with "Someone To Watch Over Me." The record is a double vinyl if anyone cares, but this is available on CD and it benefits AIDS research... ...on another note...has anyone heard a new Moby song thats being played on the radio...It keeps throwing me off because it sounds like an LJ song...although I know our darlings aren't the most original, I distinctly hear a touch of Under Your Skin in this Moby song...someone please validate my feelings here.... - -Sarah http://home.earthlink.net/~rubyredd/ ArtaudJr@aol.com wrote: > Hey all. That makes sense...I finally heard it, and now I know why it was so hard for me to pick out--Jill is practically crooning! Heh...The chords in the background are kinda neat, though. (ah, Viv, no doubt--sigh...) Take it easy all. - --Steve ------------------------------ End of find-your-mind-digest V2 #34 ***********************************
