Natural Ingredients (reason- it has "Citysong," my most favorite ever live and album, and "Rock Freak") 2. Fever In/ Fever Out (reason- it has "Under Your Skin" and "One Thing") 3. Half-Baked Soundtrack (I know it's not really an album, but I LOVE "Love That's Real" 4. In Search of Manny (I love this EP, but I'm a bigger fan of organic-sound LJ, and I think "Bam-Bam" could sound a little stronger) 5. Klassics With a K (if I told you my favorites six months ago, this would be near the top, but now I mainly listen only to "Never So Lonely" and "Red Umbrella") That's enough from me for now- LJ was the highlight of the Tibetan Freedom Concert! - -Jeff ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Oct 1998 01:55:44 -0700 From: Jon Brickner Subject: Re: find-your-mind-digest V1 #38 My picks, as a *ever so lonely contributor- 1- The phenom Klassics - I can spin this anytime, anywhere, with anyone, and there will be nothin' but bliss. Red Umbrella will go down in history as a classicjill 2- My first love was Natural Ingredients, so respects are due, and I love the whole album whole heartedly 3- In Search of Manny has the tight sampling that have put the ladies at par with the Beasties in this/that era, but I get left with lots of ear before half the hour has gone by 4- Fever has some of my favorites of the LJ portfolio. One Thing is the best LJ track from any of the LJ THREE, but I don't get as groovy as I'd like to be 5- Tip Top was a wonderful gesture, and I think we were all very thankful, but there was a bit left to be desired from the whole effort. Anyway, thanks for listening. And hey, if the girl from the Bridge School on Sunday is listening, it was nice to meet a fellow Bimbo's goer. We had a special night that cool SF evening a short while back. I have to admit also I was a lil disappointed in fever. i didn't even listened to it that much. the first half of it is good but that second half makes me wanna go to sleep. but i still play natural ingredients and manny. they're such party albums its great. gotta pick up those natural ingredients 12"s one of these days... jeff. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Oct 1998 06:55:20 -0700 From: "C.A. To me, the soothing quality of FIFO is what I like so much about it. It's a very trippy album..... which is a *good* thing. I just wish they'd play some of those dreamy, minor-key Jill songs live... like 'Faith.' - -----== Sent via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Easy access to 50,000+ discussion forums ------------------------------ End of find-your-mind-digest V1 #39 ***********************************
