I know that one of the two twin sisters went on to play in the group Amp, but I haven't heard anything since. Anybody hazard a guess? --Steve ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Jul 1998 14:11:24 -0400 From: "Kristen A. Hudak" Subject: I wonder...The Breeders Yeah yeah...One of the Deal sisters received heroin in the mail (not a smart move) and got busted. When this happened, it seemed like the beginning of the end for the Breeders. It's a shame 'cause I really enjoyed their music a whole lot. I don't know all the details behind this heroin bust (my mind is kinda blurred at the moment), but I'm sure this info can be found on the 'net -- or perhaps our lovely hostess Sara could refresh our collective memories. Anyway, Josephine is still makin' awesome music...and we'll always have Last Splash. Oh, and "Cannonball" is certainly one of the best videos of all time in my opinion (along with Jane's Addiction's "Been Caught Stealing," Madonna's "Ray of Light." and [yes, I'm biased] "Deep Shag" by LJ). At that time she'd just released "Boom,Boom,Boom" with her new band. She was surprisingly candid about how she got busted and the fact that she occasionally has relapses. She met her guitarist in rehab and went on to form the Kelley Deal 6000. She told me her sister Kim was in the studio w/ the Breeders, and that apparently the lineups change a lot. "Whoever's plugged in when Kim hits record is a Breeder," she said. It doesn't look like Kelley will ever rejoin though, since she's got her own thing going now. She even runs her own recording label in her house. Nice girl, and I always thought she was the prettier one, anyway. Got a question that I hope someone can answer for me.... Awhile ago someone mentioned a Ladies Who Lunch song that was out on a seven-inch that Jill wrote or something. Can anyone tell me the name of the song or give me more details?
