Okay, your antipathy is noted. I still think it's a great idea. I'm on two different fandom chats and they're pretty great. You can pop in and out, you can customize channels - imagine if in 2000, we'd had a politics channel that people could opt into (or out of)? I have seen numerous times over the years that people will get nostalgic for the list and promise to use it again, but it never happens. We're probably not going to revive the email list as a viable platform.
