well, i already know that i'm the onlyfeg what's abso-fucking-lutely smitten
with the new Throwing Muses.  so...

saw a Beyonce vid on the break-room teevee show last week, and liked it so
much i had to ask a cow-orker to what were we listening?  downloaded the
latest rekkid, and...while i can't say that i *love* it, there *are* some
pretty damned great songs all up in here.  uh, have i been missing out, all
this time, on an important artist?  should i be checking out her entire
catalog?

also, FINALLY got around to checking out Portugal The Man.  holy shit!, what
a great fucking band.  i think the reason i was so  reluctant to give them a
try was that i despise the name -- especially the fucking punctuation in the
middle.  well factually, i think that great band names are few and far
between.  but even given that, this feels like one of the all-time shittiest
band-names for an awesome band to have been saddled with.
