Wow. Fegmaniax! Hi to all those who haven't hooked up with me on Facebook. Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone on the Bell network.[TABLE NOT SHOWN] Definitely go see them! I've seen them a couple times and they're great. I haven't seen them in a while but I've heard they're still going strong. I'd go see them if you haven't, partly because it will be an insane theatrical event (I think he's doing the "Georgie Fruit" stage persona still: ultra glam, entirely demented), partly because Kevin Barnes has a habit of having guest musicians who break big almost immediately afterwards (Janelle Monae, Kishi Bashi), but mostly [sadly] I get the feeling he's not going to be with us for too much longer. (I hope I'm wrong about this.) The last few oM albums have been successively more difficult and tormented. I can't listen to the last three at all. The touring band is different from the studio (which is just Kevin, really). I don't think feglist member and oM guitarist B. Poole will be touring with them, as he's on tour with Elf Power and Neutral Milk Hotel. It will be a loud, raucous, confusing show where most of the crowd will be tiny things, but you won't have *ever* seen anything like it. cheers, Stewart ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V19 #249 ********************************
