Torrent: 463061 Title: Robyn Hitchcock and The Venus 3 - Live in the Benelux 2007 (SOUNDBOARD) Size: 1.15 GB Category: Rock Uploaded by: mgeldere Info hash: d956a55498d387d596d83c29ac962a50fda652c6 Description - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have recently started to go through my archives of live recordings I made over the years, I have several high quality recordings (mainly taken directly from the soundboard) which I don't believe I ever shared. This is probably one of the most interesting ones - in 2007 Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 (Peter Buck of R.E.M., Bill Rieflin and Scott McCaughey) played three nights in Belgium and The Netherlands, possibly Robyn's first ever gigs there but not 100% sure. In Amsterdam they played in the upstairs room of Paradiso after the Patti Smith gig, the room filled completely not only with Robyn fans but also with Patti fans who came to have a look - great atmosphere. It all seems like a lifetime ago, but it's still a great recording, I polished it up a litte from the version I did 6 years ago. I've taken the full Amsterdam show as it is was by the far the one with the best quality and added as a bonus the different songs they played in Utrecht and Ghent. This was the first time many of the songs from the Goodnight Oslo album were be played live. Enjoy, there is more to come :) Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus 3 Live in the Benelux 2007 Recorded and mixed by Matthijs van Geldere Recorded from Soundboard Amsterdam, The Netherlands Paradiso (Upstairs) - June 10th 2007 01 - Queen Elvis 02 - What You Is 03 - Ole Tarantula 04 - Flesh No 1 05 - Propellor Time 06 - Saturday Groovers 07 - Hurry For The Sky 08 - I'm Falling 09 - Balloon Man 10 - Queen Of Eyes 11 - Creeped Out 12 - Somewhere Apart 13 - The Authority Box 14 - Madonna Of The Wasps 15 - A Man's Got To Know His Limitations Briggs 16 - She Belongs To Me 17 - Adventure Rocket Ship 18 - Kingdom Of Love 19 - What Goes On* 20 - Eight Miles High* 21 - She Said She Said* 22 - Listening To The Higsons* Utrecht, The Netherlands Tivoli (De Helling) - June 11th 2007 23 - I Often Dream Of Trains 24 - Vibrating 25 - TLC 26 - The Underneath 27 - Goodnight Oslo 28 - The Afterlight 29 - If You Were A Priest 30 - Brenda's Iron Sledge 31 - Serpent At The Gates Of Wisdom 32 - See Emily Play 33 - Underground Sun Ghent, Belgium Handelsbeurs - June 9th 2007 34 - Chinese Bones 35 - Sally Was A Legend 36 - NY Doll 37 - Visions Of Johanna Robyn Hitchcock & Venus 3 - ------------------------------------- Robyn Hitchcock - Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar Peter Buck - Electric Guitar Scott McCaughey - Bass, Backing Vocals Bill Rieflin - Drums * plus Lenny Kaye on Electric Guitar - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can use the URL below to download the torrent (you may have to login). http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=463061&hit=1 Take care! dimeadozen.org ### Mail queued to EzTorrent v0.6.6r393 async outbound mailer on 2013-08-31 at 06:36:12 GMT ### Mail forwarded to MTA by EzTorrent v0.6.6r393 async outbound mailer on 2013-08-31 at 06:37:04 GMT - -- "people with opinions just go around bothering one another." -- the buddha ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V19 #247 ********************************
