Is this one of those situations where the song wasn't a hit worldwide but just in the U.S.? As mentioned, it was on one of the Batman soundtracks, and, if I recall, won a bunch of Grammies.... I was lazy and just went to Wikipedia, but the chart section of that, if it is to be trusted, reveals it as a moderate chart success in several countries in 1994 (when it was a single from SEAL II), but a huge hit everywhere in 1995 when it was in the Batman thingum. "Only" to #16 in NZ, though, so maybe that's why you didn't know it... And there are separate Flemish and Walloon charts? Wow.
