can't.  he's off on some damned-fool idealistic crusade like his father.


anybody else loving this new cars album as much as i am?  okay, not all that 
new anymore.  but i'd been listening to it about once per week, and liking 
it more and more each time.  last week, finally went whole hog and listened 
to it on three or four consecutive days.

okay, granted, the lyrics are a bit sophomoric.  and, okay, maybe it won't 
hold up as well as *Goodnight Oslo* presumably will.  but for now, it takes 
its place right up there as one of my fave rock and/or roll albums by 
artists in their fifties.  (not to mention ocasek and robinson are each in 
their *sixties*!)  maybe we need to curate a list?
