More Robyn Hitchcock Dates Announced August 7, 2011 . Big Chill in Great Malvern, UK. RH and Joe Boyd perform Chinese White Bicycles in the White Rabbit Tent at 4:00pm. August 14, 2011 . Robyn plays an acoustic set at the Wilderness Festival, Oxfordshire, with some string accompaniment. August 19, 2011 - Green Man Festival, South Wales (Robyn and band play psyche melange). After the electric set on the Main Stage, Robyn will play a solo acoustic set of insect-related songs on the Solar Stage in Einstein.s Garden, startign at 7:30pm Dimbola Lodge Concert and Exhibition August 21, 2011 - Dimbola Lodge (7pm), Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight Robyn plays an intimate early evening recital at Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater Bay, Isle Of Wight on August 21st. Dimbola was the home and studio of the celebrated photographer Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-1879), who was also an associate of Alfred Tennyson, who lived up the road in Farringford. Recently Dimbola has had exhibitions of work by Miles Davis and Patti Smith, and houses a museum of the Isle Of Wight festivals, as well as a permanent exhibition of Julia Margaret Cameron.s work. There will also be an exhibition by Charlotte Johannes of her illustrations of the local legend, The Loavelly Sisters, whose house overlooks Freshwater Bay. The Loavellys were allegedly born in this house during the Edwardian era, immediately after the time of Mrs. Cameron and Lord Tennyson. Robyn re-opens Eye To commemorate its 21st anniversary, RH plays a definitive version of his second entirely solo record EYE, at St. Leonard.s Church in Shoreditch, London on Saturday, November 26th. First released in 1990, and subsequently in various formats (most recently by YepRoc), the record has contained different track selections. In this show where RH will be joined by Jenny Adejayan on cello, and Lucy Parnell & Jen Macro on harmonies, he will attempt to present a .director.s cut. of the piece. Doors are at 7:30pm. RH plays two EYE shows solo in the US the week before the London show: San Francisco (where the album was recorded) at Slim.s November 17th, and Brooklyn, NY at The Bell House (early show) on November 19th.
