Hopefully this doesn't mean we're at war! FWIW, the main adventure area around Queenstown and the Kawarau Gorge are only a couple of hundred miles from where I live (if you look at the map in the article, I live at the bulge in the east coast to the right of the "D" of "Island"..Never done any of the adventure sports activities, though I've been tempted by a few of them. "The Living Years" is that execrable Mike + The Mechanics song upon which Mr. Paul Carrack rode in a spectacular arc across the sky, providing him an ideal vantage point for viewing the shark far below. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2011 22:30:47 -0500 From: Jeremy Osner Subject: Re: Neglected gems 2011/2/4 Rex Broome : > > As do most of the bootlegs. That's as may be; but the lyric that Mr. Hitchcock is singing here sounds to my ear very much like "living" and hardly at all like "live-in"; though I suppose there is no requirement for the title of a tune to be the same as it's chorus, still I find it more plausible when the two are so similar, that they be identical. And anyways I thought Mr. Winkler was the one who jumped the shark. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2011 22:35:51 -0500 From: Jeremy Osner Subject: Re: Neglected gems And thanks, Grutness and Rex, for making me think to put "Bad Case of History" on the hi-fi. I am listening now to "Lost Tribes", which had until now totally escaped my attention. Wow, is this Morris and Andy that are accompanying him here?
