I don't hear that at all...except on the most basic level of "mostly >two chords or so, and sorta fast." Care to elaborate on what you're hearing? Hm - you're right - I accidentally copied that one over from the "weak influence' list (due mainly to the delivery of the vocals). In its place, perhaps offering RH's "I something you" and VU's "Aftyerhours" would be a reasonable replacement. As for the "Taking Tiger Mountain"/"Lisa Says" combination which someone questioned, have a listen to the fadeout of "Lisa says", and the guitar work at the beginning of the song. Combine them and you've got the basis of TTM. Of course, in several songs Robyn finds a rhyme by finding a name - perhaps the best known example is in "Brenda's Iron Sledge" ("please don't call me Reg..."). Inspired by a Facebook friend and another friend of his (both of whom are songwriters - Tim Walters and Scott McKnight), I present the following (wherein "inspired by" = "several lines stolen directly from")... *She Said Shes Ed* She said, I know what its like to be Fred. I know what it is to be Brad. And youre making me feel like Ive never been Bjorn. I said, Who put all those things in you, Ed? Things that make me feel that Im Tad. And youre making me feel like Ive never been Bjorn. She said, you dont understand that Im Ted. I said, no, no, no, youre Ron. When I was Leroy.everything was Dwight. Everything was Ryan. I said, Even though you know what Hugh knows I know that Im Eddie to Reeves Cause youre making me feel like Ive never been Bjorn. etc. - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.wordpress.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Feb 2011 11:28:44 -0800 From: Tom Clark Subject: Re: the full Reginald On Jan 31, 2011, at 10:39 PM, 2fs wrote: > > *She Said Shes Ed* > > She said, I know what its like to be Fred. > I know what it is to be Brad. > And youre making me feel like Ive never been Bjorn.
