Rockaway in Mesa, AZ moved, moved again, and finally closed. One of the clerks/partners re-opened in yet another location as Rockzone, which moved last year to the intersection by my house. Unfortunately with each move, the store diminished a bit, so it is probably not even half of what it had been. I'm pretty sure the location in Australia is long gone (too rushed to Google now). I understand the hesitation about the "giant" store, but I'm glad Amoeba is there, with all the stores disappearing. I really don't think it was so much the reason that the smaller stores closed, as much as it helped hurry up the process. I'm also glad Amoeba is there rather than here so I can keep a bit more out of debt... Torrent: 329657 Title: Robyn Hitchcock 2010-10-31 Three Kings, Clerkenwell, London, UK Size: 615.70 MB Category: Rock Uploaded by: Pike1957 Info hash: 8da7a6f47d9aa9ace7d7919afc86a51986e7bb2f Description - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robyn Hitchcock & His Heavy Friends 2010-10-31 (Sunday, second night) The Three Kings, Clerkenwell, London, UK David Bowie's Hunky Dory plus Singles Medecin Sans Frontieres Benefit Recorded & Mastered by Pike1957 Down the front (is their a back?) right side, right in front of Jenny A. Church Audio CA-11C Cardioids -> Church Audio ST-9000 Preamp -> Sony PCM-M10 (48khz, 24 bit) -> Adobe Audition 3.0 (Volume adjustments) -> Audacity (track splits, resampling) -> FLAC (level 8, 44.1khz, 16bit) Due to my different position, the mix is different from the previous night. B You can hear more strings on the quieter songs and less piano. B You can also hear more of Robyn's acoustic, as he broke a string half way through Hunky Dory on the 1st night, so there's no acoustic until the singles on that night. B Robyn aslo plays harp on Jean Genie this night. B After the singles set, Robyn jumped into the audience with his guitar for an unplugged rendition of Sound & Vision. B Robyn had his back to me, but was literally right next to me. B Paul also played acoustic from the stage. B I just had time to flip my preamp switch for a boost, and the recording came out really well. The band: Robyn Hitchcock: Lead vocals, acoustic guitar, mouth organ Paul Noble: electric guitar, acoustic on Sound & Vision Louis Vause: piano Mark Bedford: bass Stephen Irvine: drums Terry Edwards: saxes, trumpet, keyboards, megaphone, guitar Jenny Adejayan: cello Jenny May Logan: violin Jennifer Macro (backing vocals) Lucy Parnell (backing vocals) Green Gartside (backing vocals) The setlist: 00 - [introduction] 01 - Changes 02 - Oh! B It explains why Robyn and his friends do these benefits. Please support the artists by purchasing their products and more importantly, seeing them live. Please consider a donation to MSF. B All the artists gave their time for free. B This is worth ten punds of anyone's money. B If hundred people download and donate E10 each, 33 people's lives will be changed by having their eyesight restored. http://www.msf.org.uk/hunkydory20103kings.event Robyn is taking suggestions for the next album to do at one of these event.
