Ran into tall Chris. apologies if I missed people I was stupid tired. Liked it but with there was more of Robyn - - some of the book excerpts seem to go on a bit long but they say they're still working out the show and timing. Among the songs he sang (that I recognized) were: Chinese Bones River Man It's all over Now, Baby Blue Bike and a fantastic version of If You're Going to San Francisco which my almost made my friend cry. I wish I could get a recording of the show for that song. They did signings afterward so I now have a 5th copy of Trains and a copy of white bicycles melissa ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Sep 2010 09:49:33 -0700 From: "John B. How does it work when it is time for Robyn to play? Does he hang back during the readings and then walk up to the mic when it is his turn? This is such a non-conventional rock show that I'm curious about logistics. Anyone going to Largo tonight? Am curious to see if the "songs remain the same." Thanks Fegs! Robyn is just there to support Joe's readings. He opened with Chinese Bones and then Joe would read and Robyn would play in between readings from the book, They ran long and so Robyn did the Dylan song at the end w/o the story. I think Chinese Bones was the only one of his songs he did. Here's a shot of what the stage looked like: Robyn and Joe On Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 9:49 AM, John B.
