Why not just remove the surface noise from the LPs? I get *extremely* good results from Audio Intelligent's enzymatic cleaner ($25, enough to last a lifetime) and a Disc Doctor brush ($21), and a record vacuum (more than you want to spend, but you can rinse the LPs and let them air dry). Or, for $80, get an entire kit with the Spin Clean Record Washer. It's getting rave reviews. De-noising software is probably gonna cost more, and will remove a some/lots of sonic benefits. I own de-noised CDs and they sound lifeless. YMMV, etc. ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V18 #148 ********************************
