Covers or not, Cale can do all the VU tunes he wants. And anything else too. I'd like to hear him do an album of Beach Boys tunes some time, but I'm not holding my breath. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 May 2010 23:50:54 -0400 From: Jeremy Osner Subject: Re: fegmaniax-digest V18 #90 On Thu, May 13, 2010 at 11:41 PM, kevin studyvin wrote: > too. I like my girls to be the same as my records - independent, attractively packaged and in black vinyl (if at all possible)... I bought Propellor Time as FLAC downloads just to encourage this behavior. I'm sure he makes more money off of downloaded FLACS. And, considering how he tends to toss off songs at such an alarming rate, selling them as downloadable FLACs will only encourage his output. Hell, he should also sell ALL of his back catalog as downloadable FLACs. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 May 2010 11:58:35 -0400 From: "Stewart C. I'm guessing that a bit more cash will come his way - I'm hearing from a contact that Rounder charge their artists $11 for a CD for direct sales. Criminal! It sounds like a good idea to me. You'd get some incredibly tasteful arrangements, and then just maybe he'd do to "Be True to Your School" what he did to "Heartbreak Hotel". ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 May 2010 17:48:49 -0700 From: kevin studyvin Subject: Re: fegmaniax-digest V18 #90 Or go all "Leaving It U To You" on "Until I Die." It'll never happen but it's a beautiful thought, nevertheless. So has the 39-40 come up on Sister Ray yet?
