A francophone boss once told me my English was funny. 2) I never had any interest in "guy stuff": team sports, automobile models or mechanics, the actual killing creatures of any size, the maintenance of mental lists of railroad/airline livery/instruments of death and torture/sports statistics, beating on people (possibly due to the fact that I was the smallest kid in any class I attended throughout public school).... 3) I do maintain mental lists of things others consider insignificant, like the layout of the night sky (it's where we are in the universe, for Christ's sake!), names and properties of plants/fungi (they're not just weeds and toadstools!). I'll often nibble on things when walking with friends in rural settings, or crane my neck in a car for a better look at Venus. My head is often trained to the sky or the ground. 3.5) I'm extremely reluctant to admit I fit neatly into predefined boxes, so I'll invent things like 3.5. Last time I had an interview with a predefined set of multiple-choice questions, I hijacked it, delivering instead a monologue/demo to the flabbergasted interview, who was using this rigid process to find a "creative individual"! 3.6) I often tap, scratch or flick things to the rhythm of the song that's playing on my mental jukebox. Or gently tap out the beat with my teeth (not grinding). Tunes will spring from and displace the words of others in business meetings or social situations. I feel all weird now. Do you still love me?
