I've learned to stop questioning the meaning behind any of Robyn's songs. I've also learned that when asked about songs by three different people he'll give three different explanations. :) - -tc ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Oct 2009 00:28:39 -0400 From: lep Subject: Re: Asking Tree Jeremy says: > Dear Fegs, anyone know what is the origin of The Asking Tree's title? Just another reason I love San Francisco! After a transportation snafu I got there just in time for Robyn's set. I found one of my friends who, by an odd coincidence, were sitting right in front of Feg Melissa Higuchi. There were an estimated 750,000 people over the three days there, and he somehow was next to the only Feg there. Weird. We whipped out bottles of wine and settled in for the show. It was a solid performance from Robyn; despite the crowds, he seemed really relaxed and at ease. Black and white shirt in a diamond pattern. Later we drifted off to another stage where Neko Case was playing, after which I called it a day. - - Chris ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Oct 2009 18:29:29 +0000 (UTC) From: michaeljbachman@comcast.net Subject: Re: Asking Tree - ----- Original Message ----- From: "lep" To: "a sweet little cupcake...baked by the devil!" I'm betting that it will show up on next years Soft Boys box as well. Hopefully "Zip, Zip" makes the cut .
