The Bluebird doesn't let you make reservations until within a week of the show. According to their event calendar, it's $15 and they'll start taking reservations at 8 AM Central Time on October 12th. (number 207 in a series of 731) Those of you interested in the locations/activities of musicians who appear on albums they have may be interestd to know that I gave a talk at Otago Polytechnic here in Dunedin the other day on the subject of Wikipedia (as, I think, Dunedin's only WP administrator) for part of a course on Web 2.0. During the talk I casually mentioned in passing that among the articles on my watchlist to make sure it doesn't get vandalised is the short article on the lecturer for that particular course (in doing so accidentally 'blowing his cover" with his students). The lecturer? Martin Kean - former bassist with both the Chills and Stereolab. From what I gather he's not doing much in the way of music these days, sadly. My real question is, is the FBI talking to the guys with the "We came unarmed - this time" posters? Those boys definitely aren't the sharpest pencils in the box, ya know what I mean. ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V17 #250 ********************************
