Lineage: Unknown generation I received this tape from my brother-in-law a few years back. It had no venue data, and just the year, no day or month. Checking the track list, I consulted the Robyn Hitchcock Gigography website and found the only venue where "8 Days a Week" was performed was 1st Avenue in MPLS. There is a note on the web site page that says this show is often mislabled as Philadelphia. And as an added treat, I inlcuded a partial show from 198 8-09-01 from Bumbershoot, Seatle, WA. I received this in the mail back in the 90's. But beware, it's one of the worst sounding audience recordings I've heard. The words are barely understandable, the recording starts late, and it cuts off the last song. But here is the setlist: Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians Bumbershoot Seatle, WA 1988-09-01 ROBYN HITCHCOCK: LIVE AT BUMBERSHOOT, SEPT, 1 1988 1. 2.I often Dream of Trains 3. 4.Sometimes I Wish I Was a Pretty Girl 5. 6.Bass 7. 8.Airscape 9. 10.Tropical Flesh Mandala 11. 12.I'm Only You 13. 14.Lady Waters and the Hooded One (clipped) Same line up as above. It's rare (if ever) that i find myself quoting UK PM Gordon Brown, but I think his description of EMK as "The senator of senators" sums things up pretty well. That scene should totally be incorporated into an Egyptians-era RH song, not sure exactly which -- I would say "Ted Woody and Junior" but I don't think it's that, those three all seem like peers, something more like Element of Darkness.
