And this is from someone old enough to be nostalgic for the days of the magnificent Detroit muscle cars. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, of course the Democrats are terrible, they're just less terrible than their competitors. The ultimate responsibility for the state of governance remains with the electorate, who remain the herd of illiterate war-mongering yahoos the majority of our fellow citizens have been since day one, and sadly probably will continue to be. It's trucks and truck-based SUVs that have the high margin. Nissan, Toyota, and even Honda all sell full size pickups. The 6 cylinder will probably be 60-70 percent of Camaro sales (same for Mustang) and there is not that much margin there. And not that much more margin in the SS models, although it's a hot car and the deals will not be that great. Evora is also a city in southern Portugal that I visited back in 2002. It's pretty nice, at least if you're me -- the old town center is pretty well preserved, including the medieval city walls and aqueduct and a square with the city museum, a medieval cathedral and an ancient Roman temple practically next to each other. Other attractions include the famous Capela dos Ossos or Chapel of Bones. See Wikipedia for details. http://home.gwu.edu/~chrisg/ossos.jpg There's also Cesaria Evora, the Cape Verdean singer. Her name probably derives indirectly from the city of Evora, Cape Verde being a former Portuguese colony and all. On the whole, I'd say Evora the car can only *dream* of being as interesting or enjoyable as the city of Evora. - --Chris ______________________________________________________________________ Christopher Gross On the Internet, nobody knows I'm a dog. chrisg@gwu.edu ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Jul 2009 15:29:38 -0400 From: "Laura Golias" Subject: REAP John Keel 79 I can't remember if anyone posted this yet.
