Oddly, or perhaps not, I find it equally annoying but have an almost perfectly opposite mental image of a skinny jeans and Buddy Holly glasses-wearing hipster writing it. Well. Monday afternoon during one of the rare moments when neither of us were home some entrepeneurially-minded individual (or individuals) pried open a window and stole the big heavy flat-screen TV, my laptop, and a box of jewelry with plenty of sentimental but approximately zero resale value. Also, very interestingly, while leaving behind a 500-gig external drive ($100) they did abscond with its power supply ($10) and USB cable ($5). And a couple bottles of wine, and the remote to the DVD player (but not the DVD itself). It seems stupendous to me, and superlatively a kick, when considered as a ballet -- just beautiful music and movement. I'm having a little trouble deciphering the plot -- the poor subtitling is not helping in that regard but there is so little dialogue, I'm pretty sure it would be too cryptic for me to process fully on first watching even if I were getting all the words. It is a delight to be confused by Bunuel tho. With a few more watchings I should be able to understand what is happening as well as watching it.
