The track playing has no number, the subsequent tracks are numbered in sequence beginning with 1. 2) The "duplicate track" detector seems to have improved - "improved" in the sense that it now detects different track lengths or album origins, but not improved in the sense that now it won't (for example) notice tracks that are, in fact, duplicates, except that they originate in one case from their original album and in another from a home-made mix someone else might have sent me (for which they might have trimmed a second of silence at the beginning or end). Frankly, I liked it better when it would flag as duplicates all tracks that had the same title/artist combo - even though I would never trust it to, say, automatically delete one of each set of duplicates, I could at least better spot such compilation/original duplications... - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.wordpress.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Mar 2009 20:46:00 -0700 From: kevin studyvin Subject: Re: Return of the Son of the BSG Thread Ayup, only way I've ever heard it pronounced. Pistols' Jones 'could join The Stooges' WENN Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones could replace the late Ron Asheton in The Stooges, it has emerged. Asheton died earlier this year at the age of 60, seemingly cutting short the band's reunion. The Stooges first split in 1974 but reformed in 2003 to play on Iggy Pop's Skull Ring LP. The band released their own comeback album The Weirdness in 2007 and played a number of headline shows. Pop told Rolling Stone: "I talked to Steve, and if I wanted an extra guitar, he'd be the guy to call. "The group still exists. I'm not gonna tell you more than that." Sex Pistols were famously influenced by The Stooges, and covered their track 'No Fun' during their earliest shows. c* - -- first things first, but not necessarily in that order...
