Does your laptop have bluetooth? If so, there are bluetooth speakers you can buy that would work to play wirelessly. I'm assuming you want to be able to push music from your laptop to your home stereo and/or your music system in your study. From an AirPort Express standpoint this is trivial, considering each Express has its own identity and can be chosen as a destination from iTunes. YMMV WRT WinAmp. Add a pair of powered speakers and you're all set. - -tc ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Nov 2008 23:08:15 -0800 From: Tom Clark Subject: Re: Player, heal thyself? Here are some (perhaps mis-) conceptions of mine in regards to the song: Linda Ryan -- is this a name of a real person? I've always thought of it as Robyn's generic name for the sexy stewardess in an airlines commercial. In the beginning of the song it seems to me like he's scripting a low-budget porn movie starring her. And "flesh cartoons" is pornography, watching Linda and the fireman get it on on the screen. The interpretation of "flesh cartoons" changes a bit midway through the song, after the first "I'm just watching" chorus -- my thinking on this is pretty strongly influenced by marihuana usage over the years, times it has gotten me into a state of mind where stuff going on around me looks pretty strongly cartoon-like -- the singer is watching life as if it were a cartoon; part of this is having no feelings, no friends, feeling himself superior to all these jerks pretending to believe in the reality of reality. The final "I'm just watching" chorus ties it all together -- he sounds like Chance from "Something Happened" -- he is watching life as if it were pornography, hurt and frustrated and on his own...
