You, I, Jeff, and Russ Reynolds were all there, years before we actually met. The new crop of digital recorders are very impressive: the H2, R-09, and the one I bought, the Marantz PMD-620. cheers, Stewart ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Mar 2008 13:16:46 +0000 From: Rob Subject: Re: State of the Union. Isobel Campbell reflects on the musical tradition of Scotland | Pop | guardian.co.uk Music I like Isobel Campbell. I have all her solo material (even the very twee stuff) and think Belle & Sebastian are poorer without her. But how did she get together with Robyn? It's not a combination that makes much sense to me. Rob On Thu, Mar 6, 2008 at 1:34 AM, Stewart C. Kind of like how it would take me longer to write without capitalization and punctuation, because it's so ingrained in my old-skool brain that I can't stop myself from backspacing to correct it until I've wasted even more time than it would've taken to type it old-skool to begin with. Is all. I would never type "f*ck", though (for reasons of both aesthetics and keystroke conservation). As to whether or not that spelling of "skool" is supposed to be meta as well, um... Jesus, I just really don't know any more. - -Rex ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Mar 2008 13:34:15 -0500 From: "Bachman, Michael" Subject: RE: fegmaniax computer network: a place to eat, meet, and compete - -----Original Message----- From: owner-fegmaniax@smoe.org [mailto:owner-fegmaniax@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Rex Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 12:59 PM To: Stacked Crooked Cc: fegmaniax@smoe.org Subject: Re: fegmaniax computer network: a place to eat, meet, and compete On Wed, Mar 5, 2008 at 7:43 PM, Stacked Crooked wrote: >> > exclusively on the free CD with this month's Q magazine, compiled by >> REM (April 2008, #261).> but that won't be until some time next year, >> right? >> Rex came back with: >I thought we were still counting on later this year... it's gotta be nearly done, >and RH will be doing dates with REM, surely, so sooner seems smarter. I was thinking it would be out around in another 4-6 months, with a Venus 3 tour starting in October. Robyn does seem to tour NA in the fall months lately, but the REM tour could change all that. LOL, Yer kidding, right? ;) That took all of a millimicronanosecond, for those of us who type pretty damned fast. ;) (oops, I did it again!) ; P - -Steve, really excited about the iPhone SDK announcement this afternoon. It felt like an unnatural finger-clinch when it was first introduced, and I didn't figure on it enhancing my ability to communicate too much, so I didn't add it to my repertoire. Later, when I tried, I noticed that it took an annoying amount of time to so something that of which I wasn't that aesthetically fond, so it still feels weird to me. (I felt a bit of a latecomer to e-mail and decided to treat it like "normal" letter-writing for the most part, I guess.) And honestly, fast though I am, I suck at typing anyway. I just make mistakes and automatically backspace over them, reflexively and instantly when I see them appear. I've done it about six times in this little paragraph, and three since starting to write this sentence. Punctuation you cant live with you cant live without it or can you lol Rex ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Mar 2008 23:32:30 -0600 From: 2fs Subject: The Gygax Continuum - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V16 #528 ********************************
