I can't recall anything of the other three songs you mention, only "It's Magic"... Does anyone know if these were hits in the US (you're in the UK, Mike, right?)? It may be too that they were examples of the curious phenomenon whereby some big hits live on on oldies radio, while others, equally as popular at the time, fade into non-airplay. No idea why that happens...but it's always interesting to look at old charts and realize that you recognize, say, the top 5 but not #6, 7-13 but not #14, etc. It's also possible that if I heard it, I'd remember it. Or that my memory is just lame. - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Feb 2008 11:54:41 -0600 From: 2fs Subject: Re: post dates No, but I'm receiving posts from the future. (not that i don't think he's right about her sense of style, but regardless, her style did come from piles of crap on the floor.) everything on that dvd is captivating and pretty hilarious. as an aside, i think my friend m. turned out to be (what i can only guess is) the singular gay man who hadn't yet heard of the movie ("grey gardens" says nothing if not "cult gay hit.")
