That's always made me smile. Is anybody else enjoying 'Ridgeway', by the way? There's an instrumental about two thirds of the way through (12.57) that makes me think Kim should write some childrens' TV show theme tunes (that sounds like a criticism, but it's not meant as one - it's just a tune that would suit the purpose perfectly). Not to mention Robyn's version of the Byrds' version, under the band name Nigel & the Crosses. I took it as a sign of Robyn's college-rock clout at the time that he was the only artist on the TIME BETWEEN Byrds tribut who was allowed to get away with doing a song not actually penned by a Byrd (especially since nobody got to cover the massive hits written by Dylan and Seeger). - -Rex ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Dec 2007 09:49:52 -0800 (GMT-08:00) From: kevin Subject: Re: daring to be... >>and, another "oh": this is kind of funny - all the subcategories of "nothing": >>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nothing > >Now that looks like fun. Drives crash - and while a single physical object can break or stop working (such as a CD), it doing so doesn't bring down the entire music collection with it. That is, I suspect that the massive catalog refurbishment that went on in the '80s and '90s has slowed in part because record companies aren't exactly sure anyone's going to buy any of it. - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Dec 2007 17:03:40 -0800 From: Rex Subject: Re: daring to be . . .BOWIE or NEIL YOUNG On Dec 12, 2007 3:14 PM, 2fs wrote: > On 12/12/07, grutness@slingshot.co.nz wrote: > > > > >Of course that'll sell in perpetuity. I think I'd like that. There are ways in which those first three albums kind of blur together for me...
