Thanks for looking this one up, Eddie. My copy of that sheet is buried in a box around here somewhere. I do agree with your interpretation of their write-up, but there are errors on that list, so I thought I'd check for any proof of other possible items. There seems to be a bit of confusion about the Heaven single in general. The Hamilton list shows a US promo-only 12" on Relativity and a 7" promo issued on the Slash label. I don't think either item exists, but there is a Relativity 7" promo of Heaven (live)-- the same recording as on Gotta Let This Hen Out, which has primarily the same serial number as the one listed for the alleged Relativity 12". Also with the passage of time he's probably come to plain ol'like some tunes more than others. There's always a revisionism factor in these retrospective deals. Neil Young ignored a bunch of tracks when he released the Buffalo Springfield box and generated considerable controversy. Zappa drastically remixed and even re-recorded entire rhythm sections when transferring the MOI albums to CD, generating some controversy (& don't get me started on what he did to Hot Rats). Robert Fripp had Bellew replace Gordon Haskell's vocals from one of the early Crimson LPs when he put together one of the various anthologies. It happens. Kind of like how every time a new collection of WH Auden's poems came out someone would notice that he'd revised a bunch of stuff. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2007 09:25:51 -0800 (GMT-08:00) From: kevin Subject: Re: And *Now* Playing... >> Stacked Crooked wrote: >> > ...the new eagles LP. this is far, far worse than i could've >> > possibly imagined. >> >> Wow.
