I'm probably going to buy a new one myself within the next few weeks (probably a Classic rather than a Nano), to replace the 3Gen model that has served me loyally since 2003. What I'm curious about is if the new models have any video-out capabilities. IIRC the tech specs on the Apple site just say that it has a headphone jack and a dock connector. But is there a way to hook the dock up to your TV to play videos there? I mean, a way to do it that does not involve buying an AppleTV? I don't understand all the complaints about the new Nano's shape. Maybe it's not as elegant as the old one, but it's still far from ugly. But I guess the looks bar is just higher for Apple products; something that would look like a work of art from Dell is considered mediocre coming from Apple. Similarly, I consider Temple of Doom weaker than the other two Indy movies, but far from bad. - --Chris ______________________________________________________________________ Christopher Gross On the Internet, nobody knows I'm a dog. chrisg@gwu.edu ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2007 10:39:24 -0500 From: "Brian Huddell" Subject: RE: tl;dr (0% Roback content) > The Swimming Pool Q's, "The Deep End". It's an attractive idea, considering the festering ruin this place has become (he called over the weekend & I recall in the course of the conversation saying something along the lines of, Seattle is dead and its corpse is being devoured by parasites), and surprisingly one of the principal factors I find myself considering is whether I want to give up seeing RobHitch live on a regular basis. There certainly weren't enough Dem senators and congressman that voted no, that's for sure. They were cowered by the 9/11 connections and mushroom cloud rhetoric coming out of the White House. I wonder how many would have voted for it had they known in a month or two that Hans Blix and his UN inspectors wouldn't be allowed to complete their WOMD search? Blix has stated he would only needed 2 more months and under 10 million in funds to complete the job.
