I can't remember who asked about it to start with, but I found a bunch of odd RH stuff when cleaning out the garage this weekend. Some might be digitized "Unhatched Crablings," there's at least one comp from JBJ in there (including something called 'Netsurfer Ghost (ext)' (I don't know what the ext means)), the UK cd comp with 'Statue with a Walkman,' a 2-CD set called "Odds & Ends" which looks from the handwriting to be from Nuppy or Hooker, etc. etc. I even listened to Max's "Tales from Underwater Moonlight" rant collection again. Great stuff. So I guess that's all by way of saying that if someone still needs SwAW, I've got it and you can contact me offlist. Has anyone done a mega-torrent of all the known Robyn rarities? That would be cool. It actually is, in some senses: I read this a few years back (you'll notice the references in the article to things in 2004 as future). I don't know what's happened since then - although some of the more doomsday scenarios outlined therein clearly have not come to pass: none of my mp3s have been disappeared from my computer, say - and I can still extract content from MS Word and put it, well, wherever I want it. I'm sure others here know way more about this than I do, though - and I'd be curious to hear from them (and of course, someone's bound to say, well, just use a Mac: I'll probably take them up on that next time I need to get a computer). - -- ...Jeff Norman The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jul 2007 23:56:08 -0400 From: Steve Talkowski Subject: Re: Pretty neat On Jun 30, 2007, at 11:32 AM, michael wells wrote: > I'd heard that the WiFi portion only works at AT+T branded > hotspots? I've obsessively kept up with news of the iPhone for the past 5 months and never once heard even an inkling of such a limitation. Btw, the iPhone Wi-Fi was busted after about an hour on Saturday and was draining my battery big time. Today after lunch I was able to get a replacement unit and everything works great. I can now use my home Wi-Fi just as easily as the network available at work. - -Steve ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jul 2007 22:14:59 -0700 From: "Stacked Crooked" Subject: Oh Fuck Oh Shit edward yang is dead. this is the saddest news, i think, since eqbal ahmad died. i'm gonna go cry forever now. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2007 08:28:28 -0500 From: "Sumiko Keay" Subject: Re: reap (sorry eddie) Different reap: Beverly Sills.
