That Wilco scene is indeed uncomfortable...although for me, I never ended up blaming either of them particularly for the tension and overall dickness. I haven't seen _Let it Be_ in years - but I do remember that was a deeply uncomfortable scene as well. I'm not up on the internal dynamics of The Byrds. Did Michael have any other member supporting him? Did he voluntarily leave or did he get booted out prior to Sweetheart? I read that once Spencer Dryden and Grace stopped being a couple, Dryden's days as a member of the JA were numbered as he had no one supporting him anymore and he was shortly ousted. The main problem I have is that, uh, why don't you just say, you know, I don't really like the Beatles? It's your opinion, fine - but saying that, therefore, the Beatles are "overrated" implies that your taste has some sort of godlike genius towering over everyone else's - even if, especially if, there's a clear consensus. When that's obviously not true: it's my taste that towers godlike. And the Doors would have been way better with a different singer & lyricist. Also: Janis Joplin?
