Do let us know if/when a transcript is available...not sure when I'd have time to listen to 40 minutes of Andy talking, but I'd love to read it. I see here that I could have purchased the entire FW box from Amazon for six dollars less than I purchased the package, the last 2 discs, and the bonus disc direct from Ape House... damned British pounds-dollars conversion... Have you NO shame, Jeff? You've climbed so far up Rex's ass that it's starting to remind me of when I first joined the list, and the content was all about Rex and Susan Dodge flaunting their cross- country foreplay. This was offlist. Woj, I'm offlist with all of this, but if you want to kill the list because Eb won't let it go, go for it. I feel zero responsibility for keeping this alive. - -Rex ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Nov 2006 11:45:08 -0800 From: "Spotted Eagle Ray" Subject: Re: Newb needs lift to Croc show On 11/22/06, Eb wrote: > > > Wow. Let's keep track of Rex's charges, eh? I'm a confirmed sociopath...closeted homosexual...virgin...at least two restraining orders filed against me...anything else? Is there really anyone left on the list who doesn't realize that divorce has completely DESTROYED Rex's emotional stability? "Froth" is practically his sigfile now. I tell ya, I'm seriously considering leaving the list. Not because I can't deal with the accusations of a deranged, squalling twit who needs an outlet for his divorce fury, but because I'm so appalled at the shortage of objections from others. These sorts of poisonous, personal-life character smears are a far different kettle o' fins than me just being critical of the content of someone's mailing-list post. I'm just not very fond of taking sides. FWIW, I don't take any of the accusations seriously. As I said before, I like both Eb and Rex - there are very few people on the list I *don't* like ... ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Nov 2006 06:25:55 -0600 From: "Brian Huddell" Subject: RE: Newb needs lift to Croc show > Let's keep track of Rex's charges, eh? Naw, let's don't. Apparently Eb's reply to the list was a gaffe -- supposedly an on-list reply to an off-list message from Rex. Barring that mistake we wouldn't have been subjected to Rex's latest charges. That would have been best, because again this ugly scary line got crossed, and woj, beneficent listmeister of the ages, I'd like to humbly suggest where that line should lay (lie? Help me, pedants). Everyone on this list is a persona, a construction created by the subscriber to best serve her experience of the list. For example, I'm a hedgehog. In the real world none of you would talk to me. I don't blame you -- we're pretty gross, us hedgehogs. But here on the feglist I'm treated like an ordinary music geek, and I treasure that. The surest way for someone to spoil my time here would be to out me as a hedgehog. That would suck. But even worse than that would be if someone mistakenly outed me as an opossum or (shudder) an armadillo! I'm not an armadillo, dammit. I can't prove it, though. Anyone who's pissed at me could say I'm an armadillo and there's nothing I could do to prove otherwise. That's why I think any uninvited suggestions or rumors about a list member's "real" life should remain the off-est form of off-limits. I'm all in favor of Quail bashing Rex bashing Eb, as long as it's in the context of their list personas -- in fact I enjoy that stuff probably more than I should. But hearsay about a list member's "real" life? That's a list killer, in my opinion. Once again, Eb should not have been subjected to this and I wish it hadn't happened. +brian ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V15 #282 ********************************
