But this is strange. In my database, I record catalog numbers (largely to distinguish between different issues of the same title). On the spine, the catalog number for this disc is listed as B0006801-10. On the CD, it's listed as B000660-02. And to make matters weirder, whereas most often the UPC aligns with the catalog number, in this case, it's yet a third configuration: 6 02498 56725 8. As it happens, I picked up another UMG product recently (the new Sonic Youth), whose catalog numbers present no such difficulty: spine: B0006757-02 disc: B0006757-02 UPC: 6 02498 56373 1 (okay, the UPC doesn't match - but I gather that's universal (harr...) for UMG releases) What up? This post did wonders for lifting that geek-guilt. ;) B00, Eb ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Jul 2006 20:05:49 -0400 From: "Stewart C. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk. And we learned to listen. Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together. To build the impossible. Mankind's greatest achievements have come about by talking. And it's greatest failures by NOT talking. It doesn't have to be like this! Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future.
