Charlotte Well, I bet JPJ knows the *correct* Hillman-approved bass line to 'Eight Miles High', so nothing could have gone wrong, could it? I'm sure that bloke with the Dutch name who recorded the Fleece and Firkin would have got it, as he seems to have covered all the other UK gigs. Incidentally, the cash for all the autographed LPs and badges that were on sale was also being donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres. Good on yer, Robyn! My master plan is to play the set we taped in 1979, with the same personnel and the same numbers (but - hopefully - - better vocal harmonies). It says on the label: Brian Damage: guitar and vocal; Curt Response: drums; Ernie "Kiss of the Lash" von Sacher-Masoch: guitar and vocals; Rog le Dodge: bass guitar and vocals; Gil Gillian: keyboards. But as Rog is putting together the main band for the evening, I will probably ask Rich (oops, I mean Ernie) to switch to bass guitar. >> hssmrg@bath.ac.uk wrote: Eb, was it you who didn't care for 'Lady >> Waters and the Hooded One'? Unless TJ did a song whose lyrics consist montly of 'Sex bomb baby, yeah', it's a Flipper original. It goes well with Neil Young's T-Bone, 'Got mashed potatoes, ain't go no t-bone'. Not sure which came first though, the bomb or the bone. Would it better if everyone sang it as bug-eyed as whatsisname in Flipper did, or if everyone sang the lyrics in as reverent a tone as possible?
