I can see the > first one - I don't think Manzanera ever formally joined Finn Brothers > (although i could be wrong) - but the second criterion is asinine. It would be the first rule that caused the problem. For instance the Chills->Eno link starts with Dave Gregory working on a Chills album, from there to Andy Partridge, Harold Budd, Brian Eno. Oh, and when I said the Finn Brothers, I didn't mean as in the band "The Finn Brothers", I meant Tim and Neil Finn, who were members of the extended 801 on one of Manzanera's albums, along with Godley and Creme. BTW, for those who haven't heard the news, Split Enz are re-forming, for an Australia and New Zealand tour at least, though they haven't ruled out recording. Yet under BtoB's rules, this would be a "solo" artist. The closest one is in Utrecht. I've been there several times just for concerts (the most memorable one being R.E.M during the Work Tour in 1987), but that was a long time ago when I had friends who would go with me. (I still have friends, they just wouldn't do such a thing anymore) Now I don't have a car and probably would have to go on my own etc. etc. I wonder how much of a "once in a lifetime" chance that is. Any ideas? Is the new formation actually worth it? I just got the new CD "In Space", but have only heard it halfway through.
