My god, I never would have thought you'd be a fan of Robyn's music...but I guess, you know, musicians often have broader tastes than their own music might indicate. This past Sunday, however, he bent over to fold some laundry, and went into total spasm. He has been bedridden since then (I help him get up to go to the bathroom). Meanwhile, next week is finals week, my daughter has two dance recitals this weekend, my son starts singing madrigals around town tomorrow night, and there are two choral concerts at the schools which I must attend next week. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get through this (I'm not Florence Nightingale). So.... Eb and Rex, both of whom I like very much (and you both know it so don't come after me now because I'm just not up to it), would you boys mind taking some of the time that you are using to spit venom at each other and flying instead to the right coast to do some stand-up for me? The traditional Lonnie Donegan / Cliff Richard / Rolling Stones / Beatles EP is a 7", 45 rpm, picture sleeve artefact with (normally) 4 tracks, 2 on each side. Examples: http://eil.com/images/gallery_50x50/295429.jpg http://tinyurl.com/94oyf http://tinyurl.com/cht3o http://tinyurl.com/az7ku Note that the Stones "Five by Five" has, unusually, five tracks instead of four. "Magical Mystery Tour", totally atypically, is a package of TWO 7" EPs. The single with two tracks on the B-side is AFAIK a development of the early 70s - again the Stones "Brown Sugar" c/w "Bitch" and "Let it Rock" is an example. I think that EPs _per se_ were killed off by the development of the 12" single, whenever that was. > My contention is, however -- and it's a bloody obvious one -- that > beneath our civilized glazing, we are all deviants, all alone, and all > peculiar.
