Note: Anyone with suggestions for me, please note the tech ignorance displayed in this request and answer accordingly. There's nothing that is so basic that I can't screw it up. I'm looking for a new mail program (and possibly a new browser if it makes sense to coordinate them). I currently use Netscape 7.0. I don't want to use Explorer/Outlook because of security issues. To the extent I know what I want, I want: * simplicity * to be able to import mail folders, bookmarks, and address book * free is preferable but I'll pay for something if it's "better" * something that will work for both Windows98 and Windows XP * simplicity Any suggestions? Anything else I should be considering? Thanks, Al ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Nov 2005 17:31:37 EST From: BLATZMAN@aol.com Subject: dolph, iTunes, and Fegbands Hello Everyone, I know it's my own problem that I lurk so if this has been covered recently, forgive me. I was just looking at iTunes last night and saw that Dolph had a new CD up there. I've always liked Dolph's writing and I was pretty happy to see that he's continued, AND gone to the effort to put his stuff out there. And it's really really freakin cool that I could find it and know it just by casually looking around iTunes! I was wondering if anyone else here has music up on iTunes, and if so, what has your experience been? Can it be considered a decent way to get your music out there? There are a few of you who are pretty terrific musicians... I'm afraid it's still not the glossy full-on record you want me to make, but it's a good set of songs (i.e. I only actively despise 1 of them, and I'm my meanest critic). CD Baby brokers my access to iTunes (and eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, etc.) as part of their Digital Distribution service, and it's been a great help. CD Baby, in general, is possibly the very greatest resource there is for helping independent musicians get heard. - ---- Original message ---- >Date: Wed, 16 Nov 2005 17:31:37 EST >From: BLATZMAN@aol.com >Subject: dolph, iTunes, and Fegbands >To: fegmaniax@smoe.org > >Hello Everyone, > >I know it's my own problem that I lurk so if this has been covered recently, >forgive me. Rajidae family massive, MF. In the beginning there was a fish and the fish begat the flaming three most of whom are in mental homes. Then the fish turned to the root and the root turned to the lover and turned her into another and the mother begat the myriad ones and she said go out upon the water and revise yourselves my myriad ones. Eventually there came into tow a little girl riding on the back of a horse and cart she was trimming her fingers in a can of baked of beans and suddenly out of the beans came the myriad ones saying, "Hey, little girl! Why don't you feed a fish? Why don't you feed a fish? Why don't you feed a fish.... Yuck. I've never been able to cultivate the love for Amoeba that seems to come so naturally to everybody else, but this just about tears it. -Rex ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Nov 2005 09:04:56 -0500 From: FSThomas Subject: Arrested http://www.transbuddha.com/mediaHolder.php?id=1099 A nice brief video clip of David Cross from AD offering some helpful advice to the higher-ups.
