Ugh. I think this type of smut should be confined to private email. Eb ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Sep 2005 16:46:51 -0500 From: David Witzany Subject: Etymotics Yes, my first post in over a year, and the thought comes out upside-down. I have Etymotics earbuds that work well underneath my in-ear mics. The problem they have when you move isn't because of the buds themselves. The wires going into them rub against each other, and that's transmitted to you. By the by, Etymotics makes a couple of different kinds of earphones. One's designed for hooking to fairly high-end sound gear, like an outboard headphone amp. I have the ones designed to be plugged straight into portable listening devices. Frighteningly realistic if you listen to really clean stereo recordings--like the ones you can make with binaural mics... Dave. I must check that one out! Hi Mike, Even better are the recent songs by Anton Barbeau. Remarkable. He's really hitting his stride, or whatever. Great stuff. Unfortunately, he's just gone back to Sacramento. He's got an album coming out with Scott Miller. - you can find Scott by googling for "Loud Scott Miller" - or perhaps for "reclusive pop genius", for which he's #7 And hopefully a new solo album, because the aforementioned recent songs are fantastic. x Jim ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2005 12:03:05 -0700 From: Tom Clark Subject: Somebody ring This weekend's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" features a snippet from "Cheese Alarm" after the limerick game. Apparently you can alter your dreams by eating different kinds of cheese before going to sleep. A new album, at this point scheduled for January 2006 release, is forthcoming from Anton Barbeau and Scott Miller, tentatively being billed as The Loud Family and Anton Barbeau. - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ End of fegmaniax-digest V14 #230 ********************************
