I'm not as old as all that - but if he was so "background," what were all those American garage bands doing completely aping his singing? I'd believe that *Richards* was more in the b.g. while Jones was alive... - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Sep 2005 13:20:12 -0400 From: Larry Tucker Subject: Re: Have folks heard about this? > Date: Mon, 19 Sep 2005 16:31:34 -0700 > From: Eb > Subject: Re: Have folks heard about this? > > > > I still want to know if anyone's heard that early dB's track. From what I've heard from Chris Stamey they will be doing quite a bit more shows next year when the album is out. That song is the direct opposite of "early." Incidentally, folks should check out the "Custom Mix" link on the dB's site's download page. Hilarious. Chris' egregious omission He didn't tell of his amazing charity and kindness! See, I was cold and he offered me the shirt off of his back. When I showed him that I already had a shirt, he said, "Ah, but your shirt has no sleeves! At least allow me this much." And so, right there at the Montage, Chris cut the sleeves from his shirt with a butter knife and affixed them to my short-sleeved tee with a mixture of pesto, spam, and pure love. And, err, I meant to post about a whole bunch of stuff, but I ended up spending a week in Los Angeles (as referenced previously) because some girl I met at the show wanted to take me home with her. While there will be no forthcoming travelogue, I might give a belated overview of the MusicFest as I saw it. Good evening and have a pleasant tomorrow.
